Off to the Studio...

Is this my studio?  Did I leave it in this condition?  I know I have been busy but who made this mess and where is my worktable surface?  Let me walk around to the other side...
Well this is quite the crowded space.  Where ever shall I work?
Oh here is a small spot I can work in.  I need to wrap some gifts for mailing.  Wow...this table is over 4 feet by 8 feet large and here I am trying to work in about a 1 foot space.  Elves?  No, I see nothing accomplished by elves.  Well, let me work on another project that I might have enough space for...
Printing some business cards for an upcoming boutique sale.  I punched each card with a heart and tied some red ribbon so each card is uniquely mine and maybe the person taking it will remember me and need some gifts in the future.
Maybe I should tackle the studio worktable and put things away and clear a larger space in which to work.  Hmmm...maybe later as I have much more pressing things on my list to work on and complete.  There is something about horizontal surfaces and me.  They never stay empty.  I always manage to fill them up and pile too much stuff on them.  Hmmm...maybe I will work on this in 2012.
Right now I am so thankful for having my spaces and being able to create gifts.  I am thankful for my family and I am thankful for each of you...my blogging friends.
Please take time to enjoy the moments and the joys of all we have during this busy season.

I walked into my studio late this afternoon, only to discover that some trolls had wrought the same havoc in my space! I'm sure it's the work of trolls!

I called Tag and he was all to happy to help me put things back in order. Well, he didn't actually help. He didn't even stay in the studio with me. In fact, he went back out into the living room with Handsome and left me to it.

Perhaps tomorrow I can make a little headway in the Tidying Up Department...and then start all over again! lol

Hope you have a great week.
    xoxo

  3. Your space isn't that bad Sherry. When I have a lot to clear, I just do one or two things(tidy) every time I go into the room. We're always going in and out aren't we?
That way, by the end of the day it's quite good and clear!!And I don't STRESS.
I did this with my garage space the other day, when I couldn't face doing a full-on BLITZ.By the end of the day it was tidy- amazing.
    Hugs to you Sherry.

  4. Well I will be honest. I don't know how you could work in such a small space. But that is what makes a crafter. No space is to small. Us crafters can work anywhere. It could be the kitchen table, the floor or just those small tables we use to eat when watching tv, good crafter will work wherever.
I have a large work area and I do have my space pretty neat but it could get messy. My husband even tells me not to let people in when it looks like that. I tell him they will understand I have been creating.
Thank you for sharing a part of your studio.
I am also thankful for your blogging friendship.

  6. Love it! Makes me feel right at home!
Thanks for visiting my silly little 'turkey farm/factory' - trying to help our daughter, who was shifted to a huge school after 10 yrs. in a much smaller one. Hope to do something gingerbread-y next:)
Happy Thanksgiving Day to you and your family!

  9. It's lovely to have such a busy, creative craft area Sherry - and yours is so pretty too. I love your business cards and the heart shape punch and ribbon is a lovely (and memorable)touch too x

  10. You are lucky to have a space dedicated to crafting and creating. My horizontal space usually winds up being the dining table. No matter how hard I try to keep it clean, it just seems to get piled up with stuff. Have a great week. Tammy

  11. Sherry,
My answer to the messy craft room is that I just CLOSE THE DOOR! Love your space and wish mine was as large. Isn't it great to have a "Woman Cave"?

  16. Hi Sherry-
I had to laugh when I saw your work table--- mine looked like that last week when I was working on the nests. I think there is just no way to create without making a mess- and your creations are so LOVELY. Don't fret about the mess- it goes with the trade.

I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving--
    Vicki

  17. hey, if you have a foot of workspace, i'd say that's a lot.....heeheehee! besides, if you clean it all up, you'll just have to get it back out again.....think of all the time you're saving by leaving it a "mess"!! xoxo
