Let me see what this week holds in store for me.
I still await the arrival of my new monitor.
I continue to use Mr. C's notebook computer.
Sunday was a wonderfully rainy day with lots of water falling and filling the water table of Mother Earth.
Our pond is full to overflowing.
I made an interesting dinner...We had a friend join us...Life is good!
Progress has been made on a project and I shall share photos soon.
Saturday was a small craft fair and I was able to purchase a couple of gifts for the holidays.
I hope to have a super productive week. It is up to me and I know I can achieve my goals.
What are you working on? Do you make certain you do something just for yourself each day?
May you each have a wonderful week ahead.
Happy creating...

Set SMART goals...
So I was reading our local newspaper and I saw an article that is completely related to this. It was written by Machen MacDonald of Provoking Your Brilliance. He wrote, "The magic ingredient to achieving your goal is...FOCUS!" Find your way of keeping focused on your goal and avoid becoming distracted. Set SMART goals:
S specific
M measurable
A actionable
R relevant
T time-bound
After selecting my word FOCUS earlier this month my DH and I were having a discussion and he being the wise one said exactly this, "Your goal must be measurable." And so we have confirmation by way of SMART.
I am not an auditory person so it does help me to visualize by seeing it in print. This will help me work on my focus and stay on target for having a fabulous year. No more excuses for me...
What are you doing to get your new year off to the right start for you?
Keep creating.

AHA moment...

Hello bloggers. Last night I spent a very restless and sleepless night thinking of all the things I never accomplished this year and why I sometimes just sit instead of actually creating what my mind is thinking of and how shall I be better in this coming new year. Well...
Behold I turned on my computer this morning and went into my very first blog I ever read: http://www.kerriposson-artist.blogspot.com and there it was...my AHA moment. Please check out her blog and read for yourself. It explains how having one word instead of an entire list is so much easier to do and definitely less overwhelming for many of us. Well that is exactly what I was so stressed over last night. I felt so overwhelmed and yet I do not need to.
So as I was making my comment on Kerri Jean's blog my AHA moment was the wonderful word I came upon to make my life and new year less overwhelming.
FOCUS is my word. What a wonderful word it is yet what a difficult thing it is for me to do. And as a bonus I just realized that this wonderful word has five letters in it and five just happens to be my lucky number. I believe this may just be my breakthrough year of being able to accomplish the creative things I have yet to be and do.
Thank you Kerri Jean. Thank you blogspot and blogs of all types as I have come to realize that this is a medium which encourages without judging, lets us all share our triumphs and struggles and brings like-minded artisans together in friendships otherwise not possible.
What is your method of bringing in the new year? Do you write out your goals? Do you make lists?
I am so happy that I can now FOCUS on what I truly want to accomplish in this new year.

Progress is being made...
As for another bit of progress I am making...I am doing the steps to make my blog and my etsy online store and my facebook and my new twitter all reflect the same photo and name of createology so as to be consistent. In setting goals and reviewing them I find I need to update and create an image of continuity towards being successful with my business growth. I am no longer playing and having a hobby as now I am seriously pursuing a valid business of making and selling my lines of products. I will expand on this in future posts.
Thank you to my friend Margaret who is spending her valuable time coaching me.
Thank you to my dear hubby who is trying to be patient with my progress.
P.S. This photo looks like I could be looking in a mirror and I am seeing my mother. lol

Goodbye summer...
Gosh this past summer went by very quickly. Here it is September already and Labor Day holiday weekend is over now. Lots of fun and visiting with friends and celebrating has been done. Unfortunately no creative projects have progressed. My Saucy Chick partner Lorraine did give me a huge box of Crayola crayons...96 and a sharpner, some new glitter glue pens in both primary and pastel colors, and a new set of twister Crayola crayons. How did she know I love new crayons since she had purchased them for my birthday long before I posted on this blog. I am just so very lucky!
Now...what to do with crayons...any ideas out there? I do love to color with them but what else could I be doing? Yes years ago we shaved the crayons onto wax paper, ironed them to a melt stage and then pressed paper onto the melted forms to create beautiful one-of-a-kind papers that once dried were nice to craft with. But I think there must be some new innovative ideas that we Saucy Chicks would love to try. Please post your ideas on the comment section.
May each of you begin your September with a goal in mind and may you achieve that goal as you go forth.
I do feel fall in the air and the trees, especially the cedars, are really raining down the debris.
