Goodnight Sweet Sasha...

It is with the heaviest of shattered hearts that Mr. C and I say Goodnight to our beloved fur-child Sasha BooBoo kitty.  After 18 years of being together there is a void larger than we ever expected to experience.
These beautiful flowers were sent from a very dear friend who understands loss.  Thank you Sandy.  We love you.
I had time to say good-bye.  It is never easy or pleasant.
Mr. C spent lots of time bonding and absorbing her as well.  He coined a word to describe the state of being we are feeling..."Traumotional".  Yes, this is traumatic and very emotional.
Thank you dear Mr. C for all you have done for this little girl over the past 18 years.  She was very lucky to have you give her the very best home possible.
Her favorite little shelf in the island where she enjoyed her daily fresh shrimp...cut into tiny little pieces please.
Here she is sleeping peacefully on her winter heated blanket.
I have no words and my tears are flowing.
I love this little girl with all my heart and soul.
Goodnight Sweet Sasha.

  7. Oh my friend. I am so sorry, I can not find the words to express my sorrow. I have tears in my eyes.
I had a cat for 18 years too, And I remembered that my father was still alive when I got him. I mourned my cat and my dad that day. Muffin was the only thing left, that gave me that connection to my dad.
Cats are not just pets. They are family.
    Many blessings to you!!

  14. Oh, Sherry. I am so sorry for the loss. I could only imagine how hard this is for you and Mr. C. I prayed for her the other day when you emailed me. I also prayed for you and Mr C.
The flowers are such a nice gesture.

  15. Sherry, my condolences to you and Mr.C on the loss of your beloved Sasha. Our fur babies are members of the family, and their leaving us creates an emptiness. I think 'traumotional' says it. Sending you a big hug.

  22. Sometimes I think I prefer animals to humans...which makes it even harder to say farewell to our furry babies.

  28. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your furbaby. It's very hard to lose the little ones in our lives. Four years ago I lost all four of my 12 year old cats to an owl over a six week period. That was a very, very lonely winter. But...that next February little Mira found her way up the driveway and has made her home with us. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

  32. Oh Sherry, I am so sorry to hear your little girl passed. It breaks my heart knowing how your heart must be broken. Pets give us endless joy and love and ask for so little in return. My hope for you is that you will find a way to share your enormous gift of love soon and another little fur baby will benefit from all you each have to give.

  35. I am so terribly sorry for the loss of your fur baby. I remember how horrible it was when we had to let our 17 1/2 year old kitty go. One of the hardest and most heartbreaking things I've ever had to do.
